”You, Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego, are you so foolish? Just bow down to the King’s graven image and, you will be free.

Why can’t you just do this simple thing? Can’t you see the fire there being multiplied seven times because of this stupid decision you have taken?” This is just a speculation of how those around might have ridiculed and questioned Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego when they had decided not to bow to the golden image of King Nebuchadnezar.

To these three Hebrew boys, it was not just a bow; however, bowing to that graven image meant disobedience to God Almighty as stated in the second commandment in Ex. 20. They knew that they ”ought to obey God rather than man.” Many christians think they are under grace so they can do whatever they like.

This is a fallacy – it is never biblical. Of course, we are saved by grace but that does not give us a license to sin.

Just a kiss, just sex, just stealing, just a drink of alcohol…Dear friend, whatever you want to do, go on, take as many sex mates as you want, drink as many gallons of alcohol as you want, insult and gossip about as many people as you want.

BUT, remember, ”Be not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatever a man sows that he will reap.” Gal. 6: 7.

One day, the pay day will come and you will have to give account of whatever you did.

LET us obey God with all our heart for God is particular. Let us ”rather have Jesus than silver and gold.” GOD BLESS YOU. EBO.
