Hearts of Oak have suspended head coach Frank Nuttal indefinitely for insubordination and it is likely he would not return to post before the start of the season.
A statement released by the club, indicate that the Scottish trainer had demonstrated “unsporting and unethical behaviour which contradict the club’s code of conduct.”
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting yesterday, Monday, February 12, 2018, after the Nuttal admitted to charges placed against him.
In Nuttal’s absence, the club have directed assistant coach Henry Wellington to take charge of the team until further notice. Although Hearts didn’t throw more light on unwarranted conduct, it is said that Nuttal’s suspension is as a result of his alleged involvement in the exit of some key players. According to reports, Nuttal influenced the decisions of Vincent Atingah, Thomas Abbey, Kwame Kizito as well as Winful Cobbinah to leave the club.
Abbey and Kizito have signed for Ismailly and Al Ittihad respectively. Cobbinah and Atingah are yet to find clubs but it is unlikely they will feature for the club this term
