The vice-president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has led a delegation to visit the families of those who were killed when security personnel clashed with some protesting in Ejura in the Ashanti Region.
The delegation included the National Chief Imam Dr Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, National Security Minister, Albert Kan-Dapaah and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah.
The delegation is in Ejura to commiserate with the families of those who were killed when security personnel clashed with some protesting in the area.
Welcoming the delegation, Barima Osei-Hwidie II, the chief of Ejura expressed confidence in the process being taken by the government in resolving the matter.
He told the vice-president that, stakeholders in Ejura have started an initiative to construct a police division in the area to help avert future disturbances.
