BE GRATEFUL. 1 Thess. 5:18, the Bible tells us ”give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Many of us do not want to thank God because we think things are not as we want in life.

However, I will like to admonish to be grateful to God.

Ten lepers were healed by Jesus Christ.

However, only one brought his thanksgiving to Jesus; the other nine were ungrateful.

Oh, dear, count your blessings and name them one by one and, it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

A story is told of a woman who had been sick on a sick-bed for seventeen years; she couldn’t walk neither do anything.

She was lying down for all these years.

One day, a young man went to visit her.

When he had reached where this woman was lying, to his surprise, she was giving thanks to God.

While she was giving glory to God, the young man asked her, ”Woman, I don’t understand what you are doing because you don’t have comfort whatsoever but you are giving thanks to God, what is your motivational? The woman retorted, with a beam of joy on her face, ”Oh yes, my son, I have no comfort as I lie down here.

My two legs have been cut; for my two hands, they are left with one with all the fingers cut the thump.

On human observation, God has disappointed me.

However, for me I know that ”…all things work together for good to those who love God” and so, I have not given up.

Even if, I have lost everything, I know that God still loves me.

The fact that I have life with my tongue in the mouth as well as blood circulating in the body, I will give thanks.” GIVE THANKS TO GOD!
